May 11, 2010 Tuesday 9:45 am - 11:15 pm; 12:30 pm - 1:15 pm (either am or pm shift above is okay--or do both classes!) | LA Action Potential will be going to Goethe Kindergarten school to teach a mini lesson on Anatomy: Digestive System, Urinary System, Nutrition, and the Food Pyramid. Great opportunity for those interseted in peds as your interactions with children will strenthen your decision for the specialty. Use your knowledge and creativity to motivate kids to make healthy food choices and inspire young minds that are curious about medical professions! We may be doing this again with the 4th grade class in June, so stay tuned. |
May 1, 2010 Saturday 9:00am - 3:00pm | Big Sunday (on Saturday) with Venice Family Clinic! Enjoy the day with volunteers helping to fill up travel bags with toiletries for the homeless, preparing for the Venice Art Walk in May, and helping with clerical work (learn the inner workings of an all-volunteer managed clinic!). There's LOADS of things to do! Come on in and be a part of a wonderful caring group of health care professionals who just want to give back to the community. Click here for more info.
